House Update

The porch trim is up. and I have to say that it is PERFECT! It took a bit of time to get this aspect of the house worked out. We had planned on using a pre-made composite material that would weather well. But the cost was so outrageous. We had the same skilled craftsmen that did the finish work on the interior do the exterior trim as well. Truly a talented bunch of guys. They were very open to all my suggestion and changes. They have duplicated my drawing to the 'T". It was all worth it in the end. Truly an old house, or is it? Next up is the gable drapery, or verge board trim. That will knock your socks off. I approved the finial CAD drawings made from my sketches yesterday, I can't wait to see them go up. On the inside. Painting is under way. This is taking long time due to all the color changes and complex mouldings and trim. Once they have this finished and the tarps all come down I will get some shots of this. I'm gathering s a few pictures to show you some of the furniture that is going into this house. Some of the key pieces, there is far to much to show you all of it.

Can't read against the dark background on your blog; however, could look at the wonderful photos of the house. Love to see all the areas to put the rocking chairs and swings and enjoy outdoor life.

So beautiful and the craftsmanship is extraordinary. My uncle was a master craftsman. He could take any idea (it didn't even have to be on paper) and create the most amazing details in homes. I'm sorry you are leaving, but I understand, I've limited my DSB a lot.

God Bless You!
