Sharp eye Mary. Yes there are many similarities to the PM kitchen. My client loved that kitchen. The style and time period fit the time period we were tryingto recreate here. It was a match made in heaven. It's no easy thing to recreate something you have never seen in person. I spent more time with the kitchen cabinets than I did with any other aspect of this house. I know I gave the cabinet makers heartburn everyday. As you can see it was all worth it.

Derek, I was staying with friends last March in Reading, just down the road from Peppard Cottage, and we drove up to see the house. A friend of mine was the editor of Howards End so I took pictures of the house to prove to him I'd been there. I've got some really good ones, if you want to see them.

I am obsessed with paper houses!!! Made a bunch of them last Christmas as gifts for friends and family, it was fun but a lot of work figuring out how to miniaturize each personalized home. Being a very detail oriented and a perfectionist didn't help. I can't wait to pull out our "little" house this year and put it on the tree.
